Grandma Joyce and Grandad Ernie

So you've just had your second set of visitors, Grandma Joyce and Grandad Ernie! They came to stay for two weeks, and here are some of the photos we took while they were here.

You were six weeks old here, and had just started smiling!

Flat out as usual!

Dad was watching the football, but you were watching Grandad!

You are learning to laugh, and you just look so funny when you do!

Goal!

Charming!

Just before you were born, charm bracelets came back into fashion in a big way. Your dad bought me one for my birthday one year, and I've received charms from him for birthdays, christmas, valentines day etc etc.

By the time we got married, I had filled my first bracelet. So your dad bought me a second one, this time I was only going to get a charm for each of our wedding anniversaries, and for the birth of each child. So I have one bracelet which represents our relationship before we were married, and one that represents the significant events after we were married.

I love the idea of having a charm bracelet that I can look at when we are old and grey and remember each wedding anniversary.

So when I was pregnant with you, your dad and I decided that, if you were a girl, we'd buy you a charm bracelet, and add a charm for each birthday. I don't know what we were going to do if you were a boy, and we'll have to think about it if you ever get a brother!

So when you were born we headed over to Pandora (the shop that sells the charms to go with your bracelet) to see what charm we would choose for the day you were born. As you were born in 2012, the year of the dragon, we bought the charm the represents the chinese year of the dragon.

So we're keeping it safe and sound for now, waiting to add to it every year, until you turn 21 (the bracelet holds about 22 charms in total) when we will give it to you.

Visitors!

This week you had your first visitors. Nanny Angie and Grandad Ian came out to see you in Dubai.

We went out to a great seafood restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and you had a great view of the fountains, not that you noticed, even when the music was REALLY loud!

Grandad Ian and Nanny Angie enjoying the view of the Burj Khalifa and the dancing fountains!

Me and your Dad, no doubt looking a lot younger than we do when you are reading this!

The Burj Khalifa (well the part of it I could capture with my camera when we were so close!)

You and your dad watching the dancing fountains, although you look more interested in the food on the table!

We took some photos of you getting your first Nanny Angie and Grandad Ian cuddles, here they are!

It's like Christmas has come early!

The presents continue to pour in for you, Seren! So here's the latest round up of gifts, although I'm sure it won't be the last!

A lullaby mouse from Grandad Steve and Grandma Christine

A snuggly bunny from your Great Uncle Brian and Great Auntie Sarah and your cousins, Ellie and Olivia.

A winter coat from Nanny Angie and Grandad Ian. They got rather over excited for your winter clothes, as you'll see below!

A winter dress from Nanny Angie and Grandad Ian.

A sleeping bag to keep you toasty warm, from Nanny Angie and Grandad Ian.

Piglet shoes from Julie, who I used to work with.

Now this was the dress that I wore for my own christening when I was three months old. I'm hoping you get to wear this for your first Christmas.

A gorgeous summery dress from my work colleagues, Andrea and Kev.

Another sleeping bag from your Dad's work colleague, Hisham and his wife.

You are going to look so cute in this red dress from Auntie Sarah, Uncle James and cousin Samuel!

A pram suit to keep you warm when we're in the freezing Manchester weather from Nanny Angie and Grandad Ian.

A puffa jacket from your Great Auntie Ann and Great Uncle Alan.

Now, your Dad went to New York when you were a month old, and got a bit over excited by the Ralph Lauren children's sale! So here is your new winter wardrobe for when we go to the UK at Christmas!

I think we've decided that this little outfit will be your outfit for your naming ceremony. We're having the naming ceremony on the 16th of December 2012, and we're so excited!

I'm certain this won't be the last post about presents, as I know there are a couple more on the way. You are the most spoiled little baby I know!
